a little truth about me.

my friend, emily, played a blog game of guess the one that is not true. her loyal blog readers were instructed to do the same. my options are not going to be nearly as exciting as hers...but here goes!

**while all of you give your guesses in the comment section of this blog, it would also be a grand time to quench a long time curiosity of mine by letting me know you read this blog. it is fun to see how many times this silly blog gets read, but it would be oh-so much more fun for you to sign your name!! c'mon people...for me?? for instance, alison- i know you read this. if you do not comment...it will be like a knife to your baby sister's heart.

you can do it!! you can do it!! roll call. sign the blog! sign the blog! sign the blog!

wooo-hooo!!

on to the game. guess the one that is not true.

1. most of the car accidents (minor, of course) i have been in, my parents did not know about. (with 89% of them being in my 16th year.)

2. anna was a twin.

3. i was engaged when i was 18.

4. i am addicted to nuts.

5. i am left handed.

6. i can change a diaper while hypnotized.

7. i was hit in the head with a tree.

you know that I read but here are my answers. I think that 2 and 4 are not true. Right?
You know, if you want more people to read and comment you could always join "The Secrets in the Sauce" aka SITS (see the button on my blog) :)

only one of them is not true. i am glad i have 1 reader! :)

Now you just have to give some of us time. I'm pretty sure you are left handed (I'm pretty sure I had to teach you to croquinole curl left handed), I wouldn't put it past you to be able to keep car accidents a secret. It seems like you either really liked snickers or they made you gag,I can't remember which so I'm not sure on the nuts, so I'm going to say Anna was not a twin.

Ok, I stalk your blog and comment occasionally. I don't think you were engaged when you were 18. And if you were, you shouldn't have been; you were just a baby!

i know the right answer...but i don't want to give it away. so hope this counts as a comment. :)

Okay.. this is kels.. and now you are making me think too early in the morning...

I'm guessing the car accidents is true.. I've never heard the stories but I can believe it...
I know you were engaged at a young age and married young.. so that has to be true...
Aren't you allergic to nuts? or some kind of nut? so I'm thinking that was is not true.. but I can't remember if it is only a certain kind like tree nuts...
I know you are left handed and can change diapers in your sleep. (I think we all can by now!!)
I keep remembering you saying "Anna has a twin." (but was it a joke.. i don't know) and I'm pretty sure you were hit in the head by a tree. Soooo... I'm guessing that it is the nut one is false.

Well now that I went through my whole life story of trying to remember what I all know about you guys... hopefully i remember right and know you! :)

OK - I admit it - I've read your blog nearly from the start and have never commented! I only look every couple weeks or every month, but I always enjoy what you post - usually laughing out loud since I am fairly new (almost 17 months) at the parent thing. Anna was not a twin.

hi there, tom!! i am glad you announced yourself! props to you for being the first 'never commented' commenter!! it is good to hear from you.

Hi Lindsey, I have been a faithful blog stalker of yours for a while (Emily gave me the link). I have no idea which is true, but I can't imagine anyone being hit in the head by a tree...so that is my guess.

Ok, I am confused. I know that you are not addicted to nuts but allergic to them. How could Anna be a twin? I think that you must explain.

Emily said...

I'm guessing the nut one. I know you are for sure left handed b/c I remember in grade school you always got to use the special tri-shaped, rubbery "teach you how to hold your pencil" thing for left-handers and it was a prettier color than the one us boring old right-handers had to use. I was jealous.

hartcentral said...

if it makes you feel better em, i still don't hold my pencil correctly according to hcs standards..so for all of its corrective beauty- it failed me in the end.

p.s. i will explain all of the options...hold tight people.

Apparently it is not enough that I talk with you on the phone an average of three times a day, but I must also comment on your blog? Where does this insecurity come from? Of course I know which statement is false. Mostly because I always forget to skip the nuts and almost put you into anaphylactic shock. While I'm here, I want to ask if your other blog readers think Brian looks like a cross dresser in the new header?

glad to hear from you, sis. a bit harsh today, but it is probably those pg hormones!!

have a blast riding around mackinac.

What IS Brian wearing?! It looks like a skirt, or maybe a skort.

hartcentral said...

poor bri....the only MALE 'business guy' they offered was the SHORTS version--not a skort, thank you very much.

good thing brian has such a healthy self esteem...these rumors would have me in tears. :)

Ok, so I am so jealous. You just got like 18 comments on one post. My highest number is 13, what is up with that?

hartcentral said...

ok, so i didn't drag my readers out (except tom and paige...thanks guys!) the rest of you,i knew about--but you still rock!

i actually have a nut allergy, so that would be the lie.

i WAS engaged at 18 1/2 (sorry mrs. h.) but if you knew brian (and where i was coming from) you would feel better about it. looking back now, it was definately God's grace that even though i was very young, it was the right choice.

i was also hit by a tree. in the head to be exact. i have the scar to prove it.

in utero...anna was a twin. i miscarried another baby at 7 weeks. we thought we would lose her too, but she held on and grew to an enormous size.

i am left handed.

wheni was 16 i bought a car that was a stick shift and did not know how to drive it. it was winter right after i got my license and when it was slippery i did not know what to do, so i pushed in the clutch...and it didn't help my situation. 2 times that winter i (slowly) bumped the back end of someone. both times the guy drivers had a warrant out or a suspended license and so they did not want the cops called. o yeah, i once i hit the big concrete thing next to the gas pump. but they must have known about that b/c the big yellow scratch was hard to miss.

dad, if you read this blog...sorry. but i didn't want to "mess with the bull and get the horns!" :)
