awassa.

hello from awassa!

we are 275 kilometers south of addis ababa in a town called awassa.  we arrived yesterday after 7 hours in a tightly packed car.  last night and today we went to the evado orphanage, which is where the other families children are from.  we couldn't find a hotel last night, lets just say it was a struggle for me last night once we finally arrived at our "accomodations".  we have a different hotel for tonight, thank goodness!!  today we took a small boat out on lake awassa and saw a family of hippos! the weather here is gorgeous....today was a great day!  we found out that the boys dad will be arriving in addis on tuesday and we will meet with him on wednesday.  we are excited that he is coming, but also feeling nervous about the meeting.  we are thankful to get to speak with him, though.  tonight we are heading to a coffee farm and tomorrow morning we will head back to addis.  it was great to get out of the busy city and see some of Ethiopia's countryside.  it seems like we have been here much longer than just a few days.  i am missing the girls terribly (especially after endless nights of not sleeping).  when we see all of the children here, it makes me sad for chala.  we are taking him from all he knows, life here is so different......keep the prayers coming.  we have moments of panic and moments of excitement...sometimes not far apart from each other.

that's all for now. we hope all of you are well and we will update again as soon as we can!!

can't wait to see you all soon!!

the girls are so excited that you saw some hippos! we are all getting ready for church but I quick looked to see if you wrote. they were all excited to be able to "hear" from mom and dad! It is going well here. I've been giving the girls extra big hugs from mom and dad. the girls are constantly saying prayers for you! There little prayers are so cute. they miss you very much and pray that you will come home soon. yesterday they were asking "is this the saturday they come home?" i've been trying to keep them busy so it's not so hard for them. they are very excited to see their brothers. they can't wait. we hope you have a good time and the girls love hearing your stories. we all love you very much and are praying for a safe trip!!
Love, your girls

So glad you are seeing some of the boys country. That will mean a lot to them later. We are praying for your meeting Wed. with the father. I know how nervous you are about that. We had such a fun week end with Anna. What a giggly twosome those girls are! Lots of cousins here to skate today. What fun. Love to you both.

Dear Lindsay and Brian,
Thanks for the visuals. I'll be praying for sleep to overcome you, Lindsay (at night of course!) I will fast for you on Wednesday while praying God will supply ALL your needs abundantly, that he will pass His peace thru you to Chala & Yonas' father, and that their father will be able to understand how giving up his sons was the very best form of provision he could have possibly given them. AND that somehow through this he will come to know our Heavenly Father who gave up His Only Son to provide salvation for all of us. XO, Clherrie
